On Thursday, October 19, 2017, the WDAMI Board unanimously voted to accept new Board member, Bonni Hazen. Here is a bit about Bonni – be sure to welcome her to the Board!
“Metamora, Michigan is where my husband Brian, our Pitbull Blue and our 4 horses live on our small private farm. I also train at “Windrush Farm“ for owner Barbara Chapman, working her world class CDE horses in the discipline of dressage.
For over 30 years I have been teaching horsemanship/equitation and training for both the main ring and the dressage arena. I have also been involved in the breeding of Arabians, Half Arabians, and half PRE horses.
I am a founding member of the Eastern Michigan Arabian horse Association. I spent close to 20 years in services to this educational, family friendly, and affordable venue to show this noble breed.
Currently member of USEF, USDF, WDA, WDAM, and AQHA.
Actively pursuing my “L” certification with the USDF, in hopes of having the opportunity to judge the Western Dressage at the “r” level.
Currently competing in Region 2 on three horses; a German Riding Pony cross, an Andalusian cross and an Appendix Quarter Horse. I also participate at local schooling shows that host WD classes with students and young horses.
I hold my 4-H Horse/Pony judges card and have judged at the state 4-H championships for dressage.
My goal is to serve the members of this new and growing sport.”
